Just a reminder: I'm glad to consider printing excerpts from press releases as time and my interest allow. I might also post it to my miscellaneous site and link to it here as part of a regular post. Please submit to the address listed at the top of this page. Thanks!
How cool is this? When this post is published, I'll be at the Metrodome watching the Twins. I know it's simple timer technology, but still...

PRESS RELEASE (excerpts)
MINNESOTA ATTORNEY GENERAL LORI SWANSON FILES CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST NURSING HOME OWNER FOR NEGLECTING PATIENTS AND DEFRAUDING THE STATE MEDICAID PROGRAM
Mayfair Home Health Services’ Fraud Activities Cost Taxpayers $117,414 And Led To The Neglect Of Patients And The Death Of A Vulnerable Adult Under Its Care
Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson today filed a criminal complaint charging Mayfair Home Health Services (“Mayfair”) owner, Adaeze Julia Nwameme Osemeka (“Osmeka”), with fraud and neglect of a vulnerable adult. The complaint alleges that, in connection with its home health care services and St. Louis Park nursing care facility, Mayfair fraudulently charged Medicaid for nursing and personal care services that it did not render, provided inadequate staffing and supervision, and neglected vulnerable adults in its care leading to the death of one patient.
“The Attorney General’s Office is concerned about the growing problems we are seeing in the area of home health care services and personal care, particularly at a time that government budgets are squeezed thin and health care costs are skyrocketing,” Swanson said.
